Car Details:Couple of '70 Mustangs
Little update for interested parties: This morning I collected my Mustang from Nigel's house. Big thank you to Nigel for a fantastic job which involved a lot more repair work than anticipated, and a proper nightmare with getting the paint to match up. But he triumphed and my old warhorse is back home and ready for more track action.
Another little landmark moment occurred today when I actually drove the Camaro with the crossram fitted. Next step will be the tuning of the carbs but we have some toys to facilitate easy monitoring and changes in relation to the air/fuel mixture so that phase should not take forever. Even with the carbs being untuned as yet, it's still a bit of a handful! :o
Cheers, Martin

Just to set the record straight, my Mustang is not a real Boss 302, I just like the look of them and as it performs much better than a real Boss, I don't feel bad about it!
Do you have a reg number for your uncle's Boss? Someone may know where it went.
FYI, ALL Bosses were manual cars, no sludge-o-matics allowed! And a factory Drag Pack car is obviously worth more than a 'normal' Boss 302. If it went only 5 years ago, I'd be very surprised if it can't be traced now. I know some people, give me as much info as you can and 'll ask.
Cheers, Martin

Here's a current pic of how things were as of a few days ago. As you can see there's not a lot of room to package stuff around the twin carbs. The aim is to get it to look as factory as stock even though most of this stuff will be hidden under the airfilter

Hi, it might be advisable to start a separate thread regarding the search for these cars as you might find more people looking at it than they would here. I guess that others might then join in searching for their cars as well.

cheers...Nige

I like that idea - like a lost & found section.

I was looking around yesterday actually to try and see if there was any history to mine anywhere, so i would like to see / hear about it's past too (good or bad) ( and why there's so much sand in the chasis lol).

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").
