I know when I was looking into getting my lid sprayed, the company I talked to mentioned sealing the helmet and pumping fresh air inside to create an over pressure preventing fumes entering the lid
Thanks for the concern, I understand what you're saying
. I didn't want any fumes getting inside the helmet as not only could the paint damage the liner, but it'd also constantly smell of paint. I masked inside the visor opening & the base with a plastic bag to seal it up & then taped over that to stop it "flapping" about whilst being painted.
. I also plugged the vent holes on the back with masking tape & I also masked up the air vents in the front where the "eyes" are gonna be.
