I was at a show once & 2 guys looked in through the window of my '69 Firebird. One said to the other "that must be a fast car as it's got seat belts in the back" (before cars normally had belts in the rear )

I also overheard someone saying about a car that had twin aerials on the rear 1/4's that it "must have stereo"

When I had my big block '55 Chevy, some bright spark came out with the usual " bet that doesn't do many to the gallon" to which I replied, "yeah 4 to the gallon on tickover". Jeez, that was a thirsty car. I could empty a 16 gallon tank in just over 20 miles with a bit of hard use. , Cheers.....Nige

But when I had a Starsky & Hutch replica Ford Gran Torino, I used to get "where's Daisy Duke", and "Do you climb out of the window, and where's Rosco"?
