like the title says, the 4th hotrods and hills event happens this weekend, (11th, 12th, 13th June) at the parkfoot campsite at Ullswater in the lake district.
The brainchild of Cumbrian rodder Craig Dixon, all rods/yanks/customs and classics are welcome, this is fast becoming THE event of the year, with the Saturday cruise being around 70 miles long through some of the best countryside in the UK.
Sunday has a 20 mile criuse up hartside pass, where the views stretch for around 18 miles (on a good day, you can see Scotland)

The emphasis at this event is on driving as opposed to showing, and the campsite is fantastic, with a great clubhouse/restaurant/takeaway/shops etc.
Easy to get to as well, Being only about 5 miles off the M6 at Junction 40 (Penrith)

Well guys, you missed a marvelous weekend, the sun shone brilliantly for 2 days, but rained a little on Sunday morning.
long distance award surely must go to Kev Rooney who travelled over 350 miles each way in an open top model B roadster pickup.

Yep, it gets used and i am racing it
best time of 17.03 at the moment as it is an almost stock 350 in it, with a 2.7/1 diff ratio........and to cap it all, it wasn't 'till i got home that i found out it was getting 2/3 throttle, so, hopefully, the secondaries weren't opening.
throttle now sorted, and diff changed this morning to a 3.5/1 so it should be a bit quicker next time out. I'm unemployed at the moment so a nitrous kit will be next job to do as funds allow, but i am still considering the swap to a 472 ci caddy lump.

there are more pics, i just gotta dig em out and upload em !
As for the history, i have a phone number of Jack Russel who owned it for a while, but as yet, there has been no answer.
