So, what do I think of it?
Well let me point out that I wouldn't class myself as a 'fan' of American muscle although there are a few I like a few look of, I have been totally blown away by this car-it seems to handle very well (I haven't pushed it yet as I'm running it in) but it is very responsive and seems planted-GM did take it to the 'Ring' whilst developing it, it achieved an 8min 20 lap, which is A/ faster than I would be able to do B/ is also alot faster than what I thought it would be capable of (the new Skyline did 7.29!!)
The ride is actually very comfortable, yes it is firm but it still copes very well with the rough road surfaces, on the highway, the 20" alloys and low profile tyres seem to really follow the furrows caused by lorrys more than anything else I have driven..but that is hardly a negative!
The interior is comfy, though the rear seat is only there for my shopping I think !!
The engine (6.2L V8) WOW, it has alot of low down torque, you can hardly feel it running at idle, but spins up very fast (this BTW is my first ever V8 car, have owned a well tuned V6) I am in awe of just how fast it spins up-but more so in how fast the rpms drop when throttle released, I am enjoying blipping between down changes to smooth things out (still not got it 100% every time! my left arm is having to earn that it doesn't change gear anymore!) Not been over 3000rpm or used over half throttle, in 6th gear, she does 125mph at around 3000rpm, it's achieving 11Lper100km-not that I care how much she drinks!!
She seems put together very well and very quiet at highway speeds, I will be getting a different exhaust, but don't know what as I don't want something that is offensive!!
I also have an induction kit on order-apparently gives another 18-20bhp!! I am not going to modify anything else after the these two mods though.(I think )
Driving at night is a pleasure with the HID headlights that come with theRS package.
The Onstar is different, easy to use, but will take some getting used to!
Covered 1000km now so will have the oil and filter changed on the motor and gearbox-not in the servicing schedule-just how i am!!!

Thanks guys, am still loving it, giving it a little more now, up to 4000rpm, she feels so planted at 215kph :!:
As for the colour, well I initially wanted metallic blue, but it seem Chevvy are where Europe was with its colour charts 15+ years ago, the brochure does none of the colours justice at all, I have since seen the blue in a good quality pic and love it :( On a plus side, I did make a school bus of kids happy when I 'played' about alongside them
