This came up in conversation over the weekend with some mates/colleagues as it turned out we'd all done one, so assuming a few have here, the question is... do they work, and is there any point ?

I haven't been on a course but i like the idea of it vs. draconian points and fine (understandably not if you were doing over twice the speed limit). I lost my license in my probation period due to 6 points, with the latter being for speeding and would much have preferred going a course vs. losing my license.

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Done 2 and would say they are a lot better than points and can teach you some things , but it depends on the person giving the presentation.
The 1st one I did seemed to be higher quality than the more recent course I attended .
The guy giving the second one was not up to the task and just came over as a rule obsessed pussy lol .

The one I did was quite informative and interesting, and also how uninformed other road users are, as most people on the course had unbelievably poor knowledge about road rules and speed limits.

I don't think it made me drive slower just more cautiously.

I tthought most of the information given was quite dated and didn't really find them to be great. especially when every video has an omega in. I did how ever prefer to have a course than points lol.
