Give me a shout and i'll get you in touch with a guy that does weekly shipments.

He makes it really easy... give him your address, web link to the item(s) and payment.

Payment is made easy... if you want say a hood and it's $150... you give him £150 (so $1 = £1). So whatever you see the item(s) for you know how much it will cost you, no need for quotes etc. He buys it from the supplier, and the money you pay (the £150 for the $150 hood in this example) includes customs, shipping and VAT. The only additional cost will be getting it shipped to your address in the UK from Heathrow and he only charges whatever the courier charges. You could pick up from Watford if you're near.

For much larger stuff that needs to go by ship, it will be cheaper, it'll just take a bit longer. For that, you'll need a quote but you know it will be less than $1 = £1.

Sounds like a great service but $1 = £1 seems a little on the high side.

We've just had about 5 big parcels delivered from the U.S. One being a huge tube with a full decal kit for the TATA. Price inc shipping $850. Price in £ inc duty and VAT delivered to door £650.

Just had subframe connectors and full set of body mounts too so real heavy box. Price inc shipping $420. Price inc import duty and VAT and delivered to door £315.

I guess the saving grace is you don't have to deal with our wonderful customs people and dont have the stress of sorting it all out :) :)

Hope it works out well for him though.

That's pretty good! How did you go about that? I was looking at importing SFC's but the size and weight means shipping costs are very high. Sounds like you got a much better deal than the guy i know of!

But judging by a quote I just got for some suspension bits - the original post seems a great deal. Can you let me have the guys details please?

Cheers
