Hey guys,

There was a thread on the 2nd gen camaro thread that inspired members to add pics of 2nd gens doing their thing in the trans am series, i found a thread that shows all general trans am cars, so thought it may be good to share.

http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forum ... 93780.aspx

I've added in a couple of pics that may be of interest to certain members, especially if they were oh i dunno, lookin at an another 1st gen project... ;)

Very good Ray   , here's another link to all things Trans Am

http://www.trans-amseries.com/

I was originally going to replicate my '69 into a Penske/Donohue Sunoco clone, but the wife dissuaded me from doing it :(

cheers...Nige

ps you going to the swap meet or did you get a flight after?

Thanks for the extra link Nige :)

Some nice motors on there, bet it sounded amazing back in the day. Have only had a skim read of the site but looks like that racing will be starting up / has already started up. Will have to look up the schedules and see when some races are, be great to watch!

I like the look of Evilzee, and the look of the sunoco camaro's -hopefully you'll have both on the drive way one day

Really good pics on that site, big fan of the bullnose trans ams, the white one on there with the wide arches looks pretty bad ass 8-)

Have got confirmation that i'll be out in the states so can't be at the meet :( BUT if you do need any small parts that are cheaper out there let me know. I brought back a load of stuff last year from NPD in Cali that would have have cost a load more with shipping and VAT and duty etc.

You going for definite?

Cheers,

Ray

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Just checked both links  ,Some beautiful cars featured ...
The second link is really detailed ,will have to go through taking my time ,the quality of the cars is awesome ,must be a fantastic series to see and hear !
Have to say of all the styles the early circuit racers are my favorites .
All the makes look good in the trans am style but I have a soft spot for Number26, well I would say that wouldn't I ;)
Might be rethinking my project and going less pro-tour and more old Skool .Will help keep the costs down as well as speed things up on that front...
